X Organic Is Live in Cogny: Post, Thread and Read Your X Metrics From Your Agent
Cogny has had X Ads for a while: campaigns, line items, promoted posts, spend. What it didn't have was the other half of X, the account you post from every day. That's live now. X Organic connects your X account to Cogny so your agent can write and publish posts, attach images and video, keep up with mentions, and tell you which posts actually earned their impressions.
One click to connect. No developer account, no API keys.
TL;DR
- X Organic is live. Connect it from Settings → Cogny Managed MCPs → Community, sign in to X, done.
- Publish: posts, replies, quote posts, polls and threads of up to 25 posts, with up to 4 images, a GIF or a video per post.
- Read: your posts with impressions, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and bookmarks; link clicks and profile clicks on your own posts from the last 30 days; mentions; replies; and the last 7 days of public X search.
- Engage: like, repost, and undo either. Delete your own posts.
- Safe by default in Cogny chat: reading tools run on their own; anything that publishes, deletes, likes or reposts asks you first.
- Paid in credits per action: 1 credit for a post, like or repost; 3 credits for a post that contains a link; reads typically 1–2 credits per call.
- A new X Organic Signals weekly report ranks your posts, lists mentions that need a reply, and drafts next week's posts for you to approve.
What you can do with it

A loop that actually ships
The useful thing isn't any single tool. It's that the agent can go from reading what happened to proposing the next post in one conversation:
- "Which of my posts last week did best, and why?" —
get_user_postswith private metrics, ranked by impressions and engagement rate. - "Anything in my mentions I should answer?" —
get_mentions, filtered to questions, complaints and buying intent. - "Draft a post that builds on the winner, with an image." — the agent drafts the text, generates or fetches an image, and calls
upload_media. - "Ship it." —
create_postwith the media id. You get the post URL back.
In Cogny chat, step 4 always stops for your approval first. Posts on X are public the moment they publish.
What it costs
X Organic runs on Cogny's own X developer app, so you don't need an X API plan. Each action draws Cogny credits:

On Free and Solo, X Organic draws from your top-up credits. On Cogny AI, Cogny Pro and Cloud, it draws your included monthly credits first, then top-ups. If there aren't enough credits for an action, nothing is sent to X and your agent gets a top-up link to share with you.
The weekly report
Turn on X Organic Signals under Reports. Every Monday it:
- ranks last week's posts by impressions and engagement rate, and says what the winners have in common (format, hook, timing, links),
- lists mentions that need a reply, each with a suggested reply,
- drafts three posts for next week in your account's voice.
It never posts on its own. Drafts land in the report for you to approve.
Getting started
- Open your workspace Settings → Cogny Managed MCPs.
- Under Community, click Connect on X Organic and authorize Cogny on X.
- Ask your agent: "Show me my last 10 posts on X with impressions and link clicks."
Already using X Ads? Connect X Organic separately. They're two connections, so you can give an agent your ad account without giving it your posting account, or the other way round.
